Bands theses days use the internet in many different ways. For example they use it to promote and advertise their music. Bands use Social network sites like MySpace, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, to promote their music.
One example of this is RadioHead, they use their own website to promote their new album. They put it as a digital download. By promoting the album online they sold 1.2 million by the day of release. Lilly Allen is a another example of a internet promoter, she created a MySpace and posted demos of her music.
The internet helps New Singers and bands to get noticed and signed for a low expense or maybe no expense at all, if they put it on MySpace or Facebook.
