The genre of this music video is pop you can tell this from objects and places being represented in this video, for example you can tell its London as you can see London roads throughout and unless you don’t live here you wouldn’t no. Another is the café they walk in to it is a traditional café so it is more or less a traditional setting of London
The narrative structure in Lilly Allen is quite simple it is a linear video as she starts off in a down and sad mood and then she gets the problem fixed which we can tell by the video correlating with the song, and then at the end everything is ok. Therefore, there is an equilibrium everything is ok then her boyfriend dumps her, which is a disruption, and then a equilibrium again at the end were everything is sorted out.
In this video Lilly is a participant and the narrator as the lyrics are illustrative and completely connected to the videos actions, the representation of Lilly in this video is not as much idolising her as a male gaze but as the video goes along she in fact becomes in charge.
